Public Speaking-Q & A
ByFirst of all, I am so sorry for the hiatus I’ve taken from my blog. I wish I could explain all that has happened. Don’t worry, it’s all good. Very good. I’ve got 10 videos on the way, so be patient and you’ll see why I’ve been away for so long.
Thank you to everyone who has sent me “gentle nudges” to do a new post. A couple of quick notes…I am up on Facebook, Twitter and Squidoo. If you want pictures and daily updates, link to me.
AND NOW….LET’S TALK
I need to get your questions about presentation skills, professional speaking, motivational speaking and motivating yourself and your organization.
Send me questions in the comments section below. If you’re the shy type, email my office at info@jsprinkles.com . The more questions I get, the better this blog gets. Deal?

Where can you get good copywriting classes? I hate it when I am stuck without any idea on how to write good copy for ads. My boss tells me that my choice of words aren’t good enough, or my words are too complex, or I don’t have the tone of the people I’m speaking to.. I mean, what the hell? As long as I’m writing good copy with interesting words, isn’t it enough? Maybe I need copywriting lessons. So, any idea where I can get copywriting lessons from an expert?

Jonathan, I have 2 questions for you:
1.
how do I structure my first speech?
I already have some elements of my ‘life story’ written out
how do I expand upon this or ‘convert’ it into a compelling spoken story?
2.
I notice a lot of the most powerful ‘communication’ is non-verbal (gestures, tone of voice) and interactive (getting the crowd to repeat what you’re saying, raise their hand, write something down, etc) — can you provide an overview of these types of ‘cues’, what the elicit in the audience, and why and when to use them in your speaking
thanks!
